Hi! My name is Frankie Mayfield. I am a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and composer from Cincinnati, OH. I was fortunate enough to grow up learning jazz guitar and composition in grade school. At the ... time I was also selected to play with the youth jazz program at the University of Cincinnati. Funny enough it would be the school I attended years later. I was accepted to the engineering school to study aerospace but then decided after a year to transfer to CCM. At the College-Conservatory of Music at UC I studied classical theory and composition for the first two years. I spent the next three learning and teaching songwriting, film scoring, and audio engineering. I graduated having written, performed, mixed, mastered, and released an EP. Since then, I have started my own band, played in countless shows, and produced anything from rap albums to classical string quartets. I have been the sound designer and mixer on several films and greatly enjoy film scoring. My band is set to release or debut singles next spring and I couldn't be more excited. My other hobbies include photography, film editing and shooting, and outdoor recreation. I spent most of my time outside climbing, mountaineering, surfing, and skiing. I have been an outdoor guide for the past 3 years having traveled all over the world to places like Fiji, Alaska, and Italy.
