I ... performed well on the exams and I received an "Advanced" placement on the Keystone exam - a standardized test for students in Pennsylvania. My excitement for Algebra 1 was extended to my extracurricular activities when I joined MathCounts and helped my peers solve problems during our weekly meetings. In addition to my success with Algebra 1, I have found success on the SAT with a perfect math score, and I continue to use math in my everyday life as a future mechanical engineer. Hello! My name is Maryanna and I'm studying mechanical engineering with a minor in energy studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, but sin... ce becoming a college student I have lived in Massachusetts, Nebraska, and Colorado. I have been passionate about math for as long as I can remember and I have always wanted to help others. I was a physics/mechanical engineering tutor for high school students during the summer of 2022, and I really enjoyed teaching a subject that I'm passionate about to others and watching my students learn and grow. Although I'm relatively new to tutoring, I will do my best to support you and help you succeed because I love the subject, I love helping others, and I love seeing people gain the confidence they deserve.
