In college, I picked print journalism as a major without really expecting to go into it. I knew I had a knack for writing, but felt shy about the interviewing portion. Within a week, I joined the univ... ersity's newspaper program and fell in love with the journalist life. With the help of some of the coolest professors, I learned how to write compelling yet concise articles, the ins and outs of public relation writing and basic broadcasting skills. While I completed my major, I wrote for several different newspapers and magazines and mastered AP Style. By the time I graduated, I was an award-winning journalist.
