I have always had a strong passion for the English language, specifically when it relates to literature, film, and popular culture. Whether it be by reading a book or watching a movie, I always get en... tranced by rich stories and characters. During high school, I took all the Advanced Placement English courses I could get my hands on (AP Seminar, AP Research, AP Language and Composition, and AP Literature and Composition) and excelled in all of them. In addition, I earned the AP Capstone Diploma for completing independent research. Now that I am a freshman at the California Polytechnic University studying English as my major, I am able to delve deeper into the complexity of the English language and all that it has to offer. Moreover, I am constantly writing short stories, parts of novels, and character descriptions in my free time. Most of them are fiction and fantasy, but I have experience writing nonfiction and poetry as well. Hi! I'm Jonny, an undergraduate student at the California Polytechnic State University. I'm originally from Danville, CA but now live in San Luis Obispo, CA. My passions include English, music, film,... and video games. I always find myself interacting with these hobbies one way or another! As an aspiring high school teacher, I enjoy seeing people I teach grow and gain newfound insights from what I am teaching them. Not only do I love tutoring and wish to continue doing it through lessonpal, I enjoy becoming one's mentor to help guide them through their life struggles and teach them how English and music can aid that those processes.
