I have a MS in psychology and have worked in mental health for 12 years with all age ranges. I do well with taking what is taught in a classroom and applying it to real life, and sharing this knowledg... e with other people. I believe that behaviors are a form of communication and when the external environment can understand the function of a behavior, it is easier to support the individual. Also, identifying the areas of needed support from a psychological perspective allows for a more holistic approach, whether it be diet, exercise, therapies, etc. Schooling should not just focus on grades and the academic piece but different ways to assess that the student truly knows the information being taught. read more
