Work with ages 2 and up Shared with Peds and Adult In patient cardiac rehab to include: individual exercise prescription and evaluation For: all patient types, patients actively infusing (chemo, blood, milrinone, etc) LVAD (peds, adults) PICU, CVICU/ICU patients 1 day+ post CABG, Transplant or LVAD/Impella implants, etc All cardiac patients Most chemo patients Sickle Cell Crisis patients Ortho patients COVID patients (Post ECMO, longest coma recovered pt up to 9 months in coma), re-teach strengthening, cardiovascular endurance activities. Rehab to gain strength for, and begin, standing and walking, etc. Trauma patients Dialysis and more. Started an exercise dialysis program. Helped begin, presented on, and participate in out-patient pediatric cardiac rehab. Helped begin and run a pediatric outpatient, remote, Obesity and Diabetes summer program. Started a new tradition for an inpatient Heart Walk in the hospital! Inspired our Chief of Nursing to create a restorator initiative for most patient types in hospital: Exercise is Medicine and part of treatment and recovery. Create individual schedule, Prescription plan. meet one on one with each patient. Part of In Patient Rehab/therapy team, palliative care team and Hem/Onc teams, rounds. Endurance and strength conditioning Early mobilization (Post surgery, stroke, procedures, etc) Worked with CR Director on creating Clinical Ladder and increasing compensation for CEPs More to come!read more
