My initial experience in teaching English began during my nearly two-year stay in China. While dining at my preferred Chinese restaurant, I became acquainted with the owner, who consistently welcomed ... and greeted us in English, albeit with incorrect conjugations due to literal Mandarin-to-English translations. Eventually, she expressed interest in having me teach English to her daughter after office hours. Thus, it became a routine for me to visit her restaurant and provide English lessons to her daughter. Over time, the class expanded as some of her daughter's classmates joined. To enhance their English speaking skills, the group engaged in conversations to practice pronunciation and proper conjugation when translating their thoughts into English. Upon my return to the Philippines, we continued the lessons virtually, and the number of students increased through referrals from my restaurant owner friend. Hello, I'm Malou. I have been involved in tutoring since my early years, and before completing college, I had the opportunity to serve as a student assistant for our computer management professor. This role involves not only system development but also teaching, tutoring, and training system users.
