About
I currently reside in Pennsylvania as I pursue my Master's degree in therapy, though I originally hail from Chicago. When I'm not immersed in graduate studies, you can often find me reading the latest... psychological thriller, catching up on episodes of Abbott Elementary, or relaxing with a paint-by-numbers kit.
As someone who has had to work hard on my academic and career journey, I find great meaning in tutoring as an opportunity to help guide others on their own paths. What I most enjoy is those “lightbulb” moments when a student's eyes light up because suddenly the dots connect. I prioritize understanding each student's strengths and areas for growth so I can meet them where they're at and help unpack concepts through a collaborative, Socratic approach. My goal is not to simply give answers, but to provoke students' critical and independent thinking.
My Mexican and Polish upbringing, my experiences navigating new environments and complex systems to attain my goals...these aspects shape me into a tutor who grasps the value of tenacity alongside compassion. I’m direct and won’t shy away from asking the bold questions to push your thinking. Because above all, I tutoring because I find purpose in helping to lift up emerging minds, especially those from underserved backgrounds who possess so much untapped potential. I want to guide students not just to do well academically but to thrive in pursuing their passions.
At the heart of my work is the belief that with the right support, anyone can cultivate their skills meaningfully. That's what makes me who I am as a tutor.read more
