English has been a passion of mine ever since I can remember. I could always be seen walking down middle school highways with books in my hands and at home, I would write dreamy stories. When college ... applications rolled around, I applied into English with hopes of giving back to literature what it had given me: unique perspectives. As a little background on me, I have recently graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a bachelor's degree in English and Psychology. In high school, I earned a 35 on the ACT English section and in college, my cumulative GPA was 3.9! While my mastery of English can be shown through my grades and test stats, my deep passion for English comes through in the experiences I had writing in college, where I wrote for the university's newspaper for 2 years and the counseling center's newspaper for a stint. Recently, I have begun tutoring high school English in my neighborhood, going through strategies to improve reading comprehension, tips on how to study for English literature tests, and synthesizing ideas into essays. Hi! My name is Chiara Awatramani and I have recently moved to Seattle, WA from Chicago, IL.
