I recently had the pleasure of enrolling my 11-year-old son in chess lessons with Derek and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Derek is an excellent chess teacher who truly cares about his students' success and growth. He was patient and encouraging from the very beginning. He took the time to explain the rules of the game in a clear and concise manner, and he always made sure that my son enjoy the class. Throughout the lessons, Derek consistently challenged my son to think critically and strategically, which helped to improve his problem-solving skills.
