I have been a scientist/teacher/scholar for 45 years. While in graduate school, I learned that lecturing in front of 100 students with no student feedback was unsatisfying for both teacher and studen... t. During my tenure as a professor at a major medical school, the University switched from a lecture heavy curriculum to small groups of 1 instructor and 7-9 students.
