Hello! My name is Bethaney. I am a United States based teacher. I have a couple passions that I am excited to share with you, Teaching ESL and Sewing. I started my ESL journey in 2020 teaching adult ... learners who were based in Korea. I had a wonderful time teaching them and getting to learn more about my students and their culture. After finding my love for teaching ESL I started at VIPKID and taught student age 5-15 who were based in China. After China had the education reform and teachers outside of China could not teach English I worked with Qkids to be able to keep teaching my ESL students and do what I loved. The women in my family have been sewing for many generations. When I was young I would watch my grandmother make clothing and blankets and I was always fascinated by it. After I showed interest in sewing, my mother taught me. Once I was in university I was making my own clothes regularly. While I was a student I worked in the costume shop of the theater department and constructed costumes.read more
