About
Hello K&B Students and Designers! I have been designing kitchens and bathrooms since 2019 using AutoCAD as my primary tool for creating and presenting beautiful and functional designs for my clients ... and their families. I simply love the process of transforming dated, ill-functioning spaces into stunning new environments. It all starts with a blank page in my AutoCAD software program, that blooms line-by-line into fully realized, wonderfully detailed drawings that I use to help clients "see" their new space.
Soon after graduating with my AAS in Interior Design and certification in kitchen and bath design, I was asked to teach an on-line AutoCAD course for ID and kitchen and bath students. I learned that I sincerely enjoyed helping students, no matter their skill level, hone their CAD skills while also learning the fine points of designing residential spaces that prioritize functionality based on National Kitchen and Bath (NKBA) K&B design standards and guidelines.
Teaching AutoCAD on-line was daunting at first, but I worked diligently to develop a set of lessons that guide students to proficiency using a process of learning through doing. I believe learning should be fun and rewarding. I remember the immense satisfaction when I began to master AutoCAD basics and could begin to use those skills to create kitchen and bath plans that met the standards set forth by the K&B industry! What an accomplishment! I want all of my students to experience the same sense of fulfillment.
I am a Colorado native, an avid skier in winter and hiker in summer. I love to travel and recently took up long distance walking. My next trip will be walking the hilly trails along the coast of Cornwall in the UK this spring.
