I have worked as a student editor for my high school newspaper for the last year (published monthly), as well as writing the advice column and monthly recipe. I have received many positive comments on... the adjectives I used, as well as the advice I gave. I have also been a member of the Missouri Connections Academy National Honors Society since March 2nd, 2023. I received a score of 33 on the English portion of the ACT, as well as a 29 on the reading portion, and I am very passionate about sharing my love of literature with others. Several people have told me that I am exceptionally good at explaining complicated concepts to someone with less knowledge than myself, while making it easy for them to understand. Many family members have said that I had a fully formed vocabulary and was using complicated words in long sentences at the age of two, which just goes to show that my love of English began to expand early on. If a person does not understand a word, phrase, or topic in a certain context, then I try to use analogies that better apply to the individual. read more

Hi! I'm Aspen Schiro, and I'm so excited to get to know you! I live in Ozark, Missouri, and my family owns 80 acres of land in Douglas County, MO where we have alpacas, goats, and even a waterfall! So... me of my hobbies include baking intricate desserts, sewing, and painting. I love tutoring English because it allows me to open people's eyes to a whole world of new concepts, vocabulary, and literature. My tutoring philosophy is, "If someone doesn't understand a topic, there's always an analogy they can relate to."
