Hello! My name is Anvitha, and I am someone who can’t sit still until the topics I’ve decided to learn about are mastered. Growing up, the teachers that made the most impact in my life were those that... were patient, communicative, and those with pure passion in their eyes. Their passion for the subject challenged me to master the concepts. And so starting from high school, I began helping students reach their educational goals, sharing the love of learning to others. I have tutored students as a teaching assistant from the ages 3-18, specifically in mathematics, english, chemistry, and college essay editing at various day care centers, learning institutions, and online via zoom. With over four years of experience, I have identified the strategies to make learning accessible to all students while altering my teaching style to their specific needs. No student learns the same, so I hope to know the tutee better to better represent their learning style while providing resources and academic support as needed. I’ve worked at several in-person tutoring organizations in my local community and understanding each students' needs and stamina was key in shaping my lessons. Additionally, for the past two years, I’ve mentored high school seniors with the entire college application process, including how to look for schools, enhance their common application, provided systems for task-tracking, and also with essay editing and analysis. As a tutor, I carry with me the tools to paint a picture. And I strive to pass on these tools to my tutees, giving them both the confidence and skills to paint their own story.
