About
I'm a native of my beloved Caribbean island, called in colonial times, "The Pearl of the Antilles". I can't wait for a Renaissance period for my mother land. Now I reside in the Greater Orlando area, ... Florida, USA.
I've many hobbies & passions: reading, tutoring, teaching, traveling to meet diverse people and to learn from them. My primary subjects to tutor are French, French Grammar, English, English Grammar, Bible Studies, Math, Creole, Haitian Creole, and multiple subjects in the biblical, theological, philosophical, and social science fields.
I like tutoring because in doing so, it enables me to remain an eternal learner and I receive my lessons from students, parents, families, and people of all ages, whomever they may be and stand for.
As for my tutoring philosophy, I have come to believe that, in my learning and tutoring process, I have grown to become a great listener. In tutoring, I appreciate a lot the levels of curiosity of my students and their capacities to ask pertinent questions. As principles of paramount importance, I uphold as inviolable the highest respect, the intrinsic value and dignity of each of my students. I also believe in, practice, and promote inclusivity, diversity, and togetherness in my tutoring approaches.
Lastly, I am a relentless believer in the ontological abilities of each of my students to learn every subject that they commit themselves to, and reach excellence, if they are placed in the right environments, offered the best methodologies, have access to the best resources, and if, as their tutor, I present myself as a great communicator who manages to make the learning and tutoring experience very fun, challenging and joyful for them. My love for philosophy has instilled in me a passion for and has taught me to believe in and practice the socratic maieutic method. It permeates, visibly and/or invisibly, my work as a tutor, not only in philosophy, but in all my subjects.read more
