I saw others play chess growing up once in a blue moon, and I got into chess aro... und 2016, a lot from the app chess . com but also for the chess club in high school. I love that i could learn it because I never thought too highly of my own intelligence until playing chess confirmed I am intelligent in my own fashion and confidence. I won't ever forget that in sophomore year of high school I taught a friend how the chess pieces move and ways to think in chess games. 3 years later we play on chess . com and her rating was in the high 1000! higher than my rating. It's funny and amazing at the same time, I do enjoy teaching others with passion and patience.
