About
Hi! I'm Shayan Ahmad, originally from Lahore, Pakistan. I'm currently a sophomore at NYU Abu Dhabi, planning to major in Mathematics and Computer Science.
I started tutoring more than 2 years ago du... ring my gap year. I am a founding tutor at Schoolhouse.world, an organization by Sal Khan, the founder of Khan Academy and I specialized in SAT tutoring there. I later started a private SAT tutoring business through reddit and my instagram page where I post resources for the SAT and math in general. I also have a small youtube channel where I post math videos.
I've also taught math to middle school kids at a local school in Lahore using a mastery based model using khan academy's tools. I truly believe that anyone, anywhere can master anything, particularly math, given the right resources and if allowed to work at their own pace. That's what I tried to do at the school as well, allowing students to work at their own pace, which helped struggling students race ahead and some even went past their own grade.
I'm also interested in Olympiad math and training for it. I was part of Pakistan's national math team for the International Math Olympiad in 2021.
I would love to help you out with any of these and help achieve your true potential. Remember, you can learn anything!read more
