I'm a fourth year animal science major

with a minor in microbiology over at Cal Poly in San

Um, I'm on the pre-vet track, which means I've taken a lot

of biology, a lot of chemistry, a lot of physics, um, a lot

of science courses in general.

Um, and I will be starting vet school this upcoming fall

semester, um, over at Western University in Pomona.

Um, so I don't have any paid

tutoring experience, but I do have experience, um,

volunteering as a tutor.

I served as president of my

of Cal Poly's Veterinary Science Club for a year.

Um, and we would hold pretty regular study sessions, um,

where club members could meet all at once

and then the officers would provide any tutoring assistance.

So through that I was able to get some experience tutoring.

I also have been involved in research on campus, um,

all four years of undergrad.

Um, and during, through this experience, I've been able

to help other students, um, learn various research

and molecular biology techniques such as pipetting,

making media for growing, um, bacterial cultures,

autoclaving, things like that.

So that's also given me some experience, um, teaching others

and leading a in within a team.
