About
Hello! My name is Miranda! I am currently an undergraduate student at University of California Davis studying Psychology to become a therapist. I have already obtained my Associate’s Degree in Psychol... ogy. Studying at UC Davis has given me so many amazing opportunities and resources and I would love to share those with others. My areas of expertise in psychology are research methods, mental disorders, family and relationship management, and clinical studies. My areas of expertise in writing are informative essays, argumentative essays, creative writing, journalism, college application essays, and research papers.
I have been a volunteer teacher’s aid at North Broadway Elementary School for about 6 years now and I love working with kids to help them gain confidence in their academic abilities, develop critical thinking skills, help them succeed, and prepare for the future educational opportunities.
I love tutoring and working with students because I believe each one has a unique skill set and potential that will allow them succeed and my goal is to help them sharpen those skills to achieve their goals. I strive to use the teaching styles that work best for the student on a case to case basis and I am more than happy to adjust to the students needs!
A little bit about me outside of education and tutoring, I love being outdoors and I got backpacking almost every summer! I also enjoy staying active and have been on a competitive Swim, Water Polo, and Girl’s Golf team for 4 years.
My goal as a tutor is to help students achieve subject mastery and build their academic confidence. Please feel free to reach out to me with any additional questions or follow ups, I look forward to working with you!read more
