From a young age I have always been passionate about reading and writing especially. I loved to write short stories of my own as well as essays in class. In high school I was apart of Journalism and ... helped write, design, and publish the school magazine. During this time I wrote many articles and many of them earned the spot of the front cover on the magazine. I also took all Honors and Advanced Placement English classes in high school. I am extremely proficient in writing essays, not just creative writing. I am now an undergraduate student at University of California Davis and I have written a multitude of essays, theses, and research papers which I have earned A’s for all of. I would like to mentor and coach students who need support with writing creative pieces or essays and papers for school. Hello! My name is Miranda! I am currently an undergraduate student at University of California Davis studying Psychology to become a therapist. I have already obtained my Associate’s Degree in Psychol... ogy. Studying at UC Davis has given me so many amazing opportunities and resources and I would love to share those with others. My areas of expertise in psychology are research methods, mental disorders, family and relationship management, and clinical studies. My areas of expertise in writing are informative essays, argumentative essays, creative writing, journalism, college application essays, and research papers. I have been a volunteer teacher’s aid at North Broadway Elementary School for about 6 years now and I love working with kids to help them gain confidence in their academic abilities, develop critical thinking skills, help them succeed, and prepare for the future educational opportunities. I love tutoring and working with students because I believe each one has a unique skill set and potential that will allow them succeed and my goal is to help them sharpen those skills to achieve their goals.
