I have assisted teaching ESL previously for a semester at a middle school. I really enjoy doing this and plan to teach abroad once I graduate. I am trying to gain experience through practice, and I wo... uld love to grow in my skills as well as figuring out what works best with most people. I currently am taking TESOL classes at UTA and will complete my TESOL certificate this summer, and am curious to see how I can apply what I'm learning in my tutoring for those learning ESL. I have also studied a few languages throughout my school years and can understand the struggles it takes to learn a second language so I can be patient and see it from their point of view. Hi! My name is Mary Elizabeth. I am a 21 year old college student at UT Arlington and am majoring in Linguistics and minoring in TESOL. I am currently only teaching English as a Second Language but ... I am so excited to show that even though learning a language is hard, it can be rewarding to see progress. It also helps to have someone to lean to when you do not understand something and just need more examples or a more basic explanation!
