I have excelled in subjects relating to writing, english, reading, and so on, since I began school. After graduating high school in 2011 with a 4.3, I attended the University of California, Santa Ba... rbara, where I studied Literature (with an emphasis in Creative Writing). I received my BA from UCSB in 2014. I have held many positions in my adult career that have honed in on my writing skills. These include professions in marketing, copywriting, and freelance. I have also continued to pursue writing in a personal and passionate manner. In 2022, I enrolled in an MFA program for Creative Writing. Hello! I'm Leah. I was born and raised in Rancho Cordova, California. I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I received my BA in Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing.... I am now enrolled in an MFA Creative Writing Program through the University of Southern Maine, Stonecoast, and will be graduating the summer of 2024. I have been passionate about writing since I was very young. While recently rifling through old documents stored at my parents home, I found a story about a magical fish that I wrote when I was in third grade. It was work like this that fueled me and got me to where I am today. Writing has so much more value to it than we give it credit for; it's the way we communicate, it's the way we are able to interact successfully as humans.
