I studied History at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, earning my Bachelor's degree with a love for not only History, but the cultures I was able to study. From our typical foundations in ... America, to the ever-vibrant cultures of the Middle East, to even the modern historical relevancy of Eastern Europe, I have been able to not only learn the histories of these nations and their people, but have extended this love into personal study since leaving University in 2022. I have had private experience tutoring children primarily in middle and high school and have been able to get intimately familiar with the history and texts those children will be discussing. Hello, my name is Kaleb Cahoon, and I am a lifelong fan of History! Growing up, I was fascinated by the tales that helped to birth our nation from the naval battles of our civil war, to the gold rushe... s that littered the American West. I took this passion that flamed up in Elementary School with me into my adolescent years where I also picked up other hobbies such as magic, fiction writing, and playing video games with my friends. In High School I was able to further my love for History with a few excellent teachers that gave me a more advanced understanding of my fundamentals that flourished to its full potential in college. While there I was able to do a few tutoring sessions with friends and grew a newfound passion in teaching what I love to those who are eager to learn about the past that made their present manifest. I was also able to spread my wings and not only develop my US history fanaticism, but gain an appreciation for the ancient and modern histories of the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
