My name is Julian Jaffe, I am a CIS major and I love thinking about the future of computers within society, as well as the influence of science and technology on people as a whole. I grew up playing/m... odifying my favorite computer games and discovering my passion for learning through DIY projects I did with my friends and teachers. I am currently finishing my degree currently at Beacon College. I have attended a small handful of colleges over the past few years in an effort to find a setting/learning environment that works for my particular goals and needs. I originally started out studying the natural sciences at Marlboro College, with a particular interest in Aerospace and Astronomy. During my first few years as a college student and after some real exposure to the comp sci world, I realized how interesting and impactful the fruits of the information age really are. It seemed that every scientific industry and branch of emerging technology I had been interested in all my life was being shaken up by advances in computing. I then decided to change majors for good after my first school closed down due to financial troubles.
