I have spent the last 20 years in the (flower) Nursery management. I've managed anywhere from 4-23 garden centers at a time. have also always grown my own plants so it's not only a personal hobby but... a professional endeavor as well. I travel around to the different jobsites where myself and my team care for all types of plants-indoor and outdoor. In my experience I have personally cared for cacti, succulents, houseplants, tropical plants, annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, fruits, vegetables, and even Venus flytraps! Part of my job as a manger is training my new hires in all aspects of plant care and I love it! I am very thorough in teaching them water and sun requirements etc. Because I've already spent so much time teaching others about my passion, I feel that working with lesson pal would give me an opportunity to share what I love with a larger group of people! I am a native of Indiana specifically "Kentuckiana" as locals call it, which means I'm from the very bottom of Indiana bordering Louisville, KY right on the Ohio River. I grew up working with flowers ... and vegetables with my Dad and I carried that hobby and passion right into a longtime career in the nursery industry. As a nursery manager, one of my favorite parts of my job is teaching others about plants! I am grateful to have the opportunity to share my love of all things garden with my tutoring students as well.
