Hi! My name is Leah and I am a college student at the University of Maryland. I am a biology major with a sustainability minor. I am here to tutor because of my love for science and my passion for tea... ching others. I am currently doing research in a wet lab where my team and I are investigating mushrooms as a possible prevention method for nosocomial infections (infections obtained in hospitals). I am also doing research on the mating behaviors of Male Bowerbirds with a professor at my university. Other than academics, I am in a club that helps fight hunger in the DC area and a club called "students helping Honduras" where we raise money to build schools in Honduras.
