Cassiopeia is a multimedia artist born and bred in California. She has been painting or drawing practically since she could hold a paintbrush and has since experimented with any medium that she can ge... t her hands on, but has been particularly drawn to acrylic, gouache, and in more recent years, digital art. Cassiopeia is originally from Sacramento and is currently working to finish her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design with hopes to keep working in the creative field locally. In her work, Cassiopeia has always drawn inspiration from a wide range of sources, ranging from modern surrealist art of the present day to art nouveau from the turn of the century. Among her favorite artists and longtime inspirations are Alphonse Mucha, Leilani Joy, Android Jones, Edward Hopper, Patrick Nagel, and Gustav Klimt. Cassiopeia also acknowledges that everyday life and a desire to capture a moment in time are important sources of inspiration for her work. As a result, these pieces often have a vivid and almost dreamlike quality that makes the abstract more visible.
