I've studied math for five years at Western Washington University. I'll be graduating with a major in computer science and a minor in--you guessed it--math! I actually love math so much that I complet... ed the classes necessary to graduate with the math minor by accident. The university was offering 'em and I just kept taking 'em! I like all facets of math but I particularly love calculus. As much as people seem to hate it (because, don't get me wrong, it is hard), I've taken great joy in the abstract nature of calculus. From pre-calc all the way to the multidimensional stuff, I'm your guy. I'm great at guiding students through a difficult subject like this one in a very conversational fashion with easy to understand terms. Even if you're bored by calculus, there's no reason for the lessons themselves to be boring. And they won't be! Hi! I'm Finn. I'm a lifetime Washington resident with strong roots in the Pacific Northwest. I love the rain here just about as much as I love math (I know, both of those things make me a weirdo and a... huge dork at the same time--I've learned to embrace it). I've spent much of my time in college tutoring roommates, friends, and classmates through homework and study guides for their upcoming math exams. I found myself really enjoying promoting an understanding of a topic I love so much and I figure I might put that knowledge to good use here on Lessonpal. On a personal note, I love to play the marching drums, particularly the snare. I've spent a lot of time in marching bands through high school and college.
