I have been a writer since I was gifted my first journal at the age of eight. I excelled in school, especially in classes and courses that required strong writing and communication skills. IB exams as a high school senior in English, Spanish, and French, and later at McGill University I received my Bachelor of Arts in 2010 with a major in Political Science and minor in English. In 2017 I received a Masters degree in Journalism to help propel my already-budding career as a communications professional with a passion for and focus on writing and editing. My adeptness for teaching comes first and foremost from my general personality as an empathic, relatable, articulate, and trustworthy person. I am an older sister and have been teaching my younger sisters all their lives! I am also a mother and currently help my kids most successfully with their writing schoolwork, but also took on the role of full-time homeschool teacher during the COVID-19 lockdown. Hey there, My name is Caitlin and I'm a communications professional with a Master's Degree in Journalism, work experience primarily in the nonprofit sector, a passion for writing and editing, and a ... knack for teaching. When I'm not at my desk, I like to work in the yard, read, watch movies, and swim in the river - when it's warm enough! In tandem with my communications career path, I have also spent years working in hospitality, traveling abroad, and teaching yoga.
