I've been singing with coaches and in ensembles since I was 5 years old. I was a member of the award-winning Fairfield County Children's Choir as a soprano section leader for 9 years, and received mul... tiple awards for my solo work. I participated in school vocal ensembles throughout elementary, middle, and high school, and became the student director of my high school's choir, a cappella, and musical theater department during my junior and senior years, where I consistently ran rehearsals, worked individually with students, and grew my skills as a teacher. I'm now a junior at UConn studying Music Education, where I've been taking weekly one-on-one voice lessons with my coach for years, and I've been able to earn excelling grades each semester based on my technique and improvement. read more

Hi! I'm Brooklyn, I'm 20 years old, I was born in Utah but have lived most of my life in Connecticut. I'm the oldest of 5 siblings - I have an 18-year-old sister, a 9-year-old sister, and 3-year-old t... win siblings (brother and sister). My biggest passion in life is music; I've been singing all my life and making music with countless people, and my biggest goal in my career and in my life is to help as many people as possible foster their love of music into one that can remain a source of joy and comfort rather than being undermined or abandoned. Aside from music, I'm a sucker for the outdoors, specifically the mountains or the lake. I love spending time with my giant crazy family, especially when we can all make it on a boat trip or a hike together. I also find drawing, painting, or other physical art activities to be incredibly calming, and can lose track of time working on a mini-canvas or a hand-drawn Christmas card. I have an obsession with true crime and mystery, but I also have a soft spot for the classic sit-coms, and I'll usually tell people my favorite musical genre is singer-songwriter, even though it's really broadway. I adore working with other people when it comes to creative projects, and have found my experience with young children to be deeply fulfilling as well as enjoyable. I think tutoring is a phenomenal way for both the student and the tutor to learn and grow; with such individualized work, the student has a chance to advance their knowledge in a complete no-judgement zone, something that no class, study group or textbook could ever achieve. As an aspiring educator, I also value the experience it gives me in adapting my methods based on the student's needs, and therefore being able to communicate the material in countless different ways to warrant the most effective results.read more
