About
Hi there! My name is Brenner. I am pursuing a degree in English and Philosophy at the University of Northern Colorado. I was born in Southern Denver area. I started to love learning during high school... because all of a sudden, everything clicked. Ah ha moments makes learning worth it.
I enjoy tutoring because when we both sit down to learn something it is just you and me. Classrooms cater to a wide audience where it is easy to get lost in the crowd. Having meaningful dialogues about important topics makes you a member of the academic conversation. I find that the best way to break down big topics, like World Literature, is to focus on a specific idea or author at a time for each session. This goes for writing too, but the goal is different. For writing, the goal is to produce a text that reflects what you know. I can help you as a writer by organizing your thoughts and strengthening your arguments.
I enjoy going on walks in my free time if the weather is good. If the weather is bad, I like hanging out with my cat Freya, playing video games, or watching a movie.
You are my priority; your learning goals are my goals. Many learners are either motivated by a grade or learning for the sake of learning. These are two very different motivators, and I will do my best to accommodate your learning by focusing on your motivation to learn. I want you to imagine your future self full of knowledge and reaping the reward everyday. I view it as my responsibility as an educational guide to make that version of yourself a reality.read more
