Lessonpal users are making connections and sending messages every day. We heard from some community members that managing those messages was getting messy. Because of this, we've made a few changes that will help save you time and energy. You'll be able to communicate more efficiently, navigate your messages more easily, and improve your tutoring relationships!

What's changed

For Tutors

Instead of seeing your responses in chat, you will see them in the "Your responses" tab in your Requests screen (see below). This tab shows all of the student tutoring requests you have replied to. Once a student acknowledges your reply, your conversation will then appear in your chat inbox.

For Students

Responses to your tutoring requests will now only show up in one place instead of two - in Request details (see below). From the Request details page, if you send a message or book the lesson, the conversation will then show up in your Messages page.

*Note: Whether you’re a student or a tutor, direct inquiries will continue to show up in your inbox as usual.

Why does it matter for your tutoring and learning experiences

Reliable communication between tutors and students creates a more positive tutoring environment on both sides. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to message each other. With this update, it’ll be much easier to find all the key communication you’ve exchanged with your current tutors or students. This will save you time and energy that you could utilize for tutoring or learning!Seeing is believing. Check it out now: https://blog.lessonpal.com/messages.
