About
Hi! I'm Alia. I am a veterinarian, conservationist, and educator.
I grew up on a farm in Hawaii where I fell in love with animals of all species. I ended up graduating from university at the age of 1... 7 and went to the Royal Veterinary Colledge where I gained my veterinary degree and qualifications. Since then I have traveled the world working in veterinary clinics and wildlife rescue centers. I wanted to help animals on an even bigger scale so along with veterinary work I started to manage conservation centers. Along with projects aimed to help wildlife I realized that to make the biggest difference education was key.
I became an educator, teaching veterinary nursing certificates, tutoring in various science-related subjects, and am now a lecturer at the university that I originally graduated from.
I currently live in a small village in West Java, Indonesia with my family. Luckily I have a high-speed internet connection so I work remotely, while also helping animals in and around the village.
I look forward to tutoring you in a variety of subjects ranging from animal behavior, anatomy and physiology, diseases and parasites, reproduction, wildlife sciences, evolution and adaptation, zookeeping, and everything in between.
My goal in teaching, especially one-on-one tutoring is to help you reach your goals by assisting you understand academic subjects, while tying that together with introducing you to career paths and skills that would benefit you in the future.
Please feel free to reach out to me to ask any additional questions, and I hope to work with you soon.read more
