Hannah MichCrystal Lake, ILPhysical and Health Education, Anatomy, Physiology
I have been an athlete since I was 5 years old playing basketball, softball, soccer, and running. I have a passion for physical and health education. I live a healthy active life - hiking, biking, yoga, tai chi, and meditation; and I eat a healthy diet. I homeschool and have 7+ years of helping my own children and other homeschooled children learn about physical and health education and self-care practices.
Subjects I love are anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. I have a Masters in Education in Applied Kinesiology and was an Athletic Trainer. I spent 25+ years studying the human body (anatomy, physiology, nutrition, biomechanics, etc) and using the information in practical ways. Some examples include treatment of injuries, injury prevention, sports performance, physical therapy and exercise. I love to take the text book information and BRING THE KNOWLEDGE TO LIFE with life like scenarios and hands-on activities for children and teens.
Lastly, I am very skilled at helping students learn time management skills and learn healthy studying practices. I am excellent at problem-solving and helping students learn the methods and practices that will help them learn effectively and enjoy it! I recognize that each child or teen is different and the skills and methods they need is tailored to them.
