I served as a Reading Specialist for decades in Boston Public as well as a Literacy Coach for classroom teachers with struggling readers and writers. I was employed as a Literacy Consultant for Heinemann Publishers traveling to school districts to demonstrate lessons and familiarize teachers with instructional materials.
I 've taught both Undergraduate and Graduate level courses at several colleges in Reading Theory and Research-based Strategies. In addition, I've mentored and supervised novice classroom teachers and graduate level students seeking Reading certifications.
I acquired grant funding and founded a county-wide program called Project Feed and Read where I trained community based volunteers to assist early childhood students in reading, writing and phonics. For the past ten years, I have privately tutored where parents have acknowledged my competent , compassionate approach with their children.
