Hello! My name is Cansas Dowell. I am a senior biology student at Berea College in KY, and I will be applying for Graduate School after I complete my BA. I intend to focus on Marine mammal or fish behavioral biology and/or conservation of marine animals in my Masters/PhD.
Some relevant experiences/certifications I have include: PADI Advanced Diving Certificate, CPR/First aid certificate, Previous Intern at Gulf Specimen Marine Lab in Panacea, FL (handled ginglymostoma cirratum pups as well as remora fish), 45 dive logs in Utila, Honduras along with hundreds of specimen identifications for Reef.org, Previous position as an aquatic specialist, Research in Galway, Ireland on the water dynamics of the Corrib River, Previous position as a mammal specialist, and I have taken many courses in the field (biology intro, mammalogy, marine science, environmental science, botany, zoology, organic and inorganic chemistry, neurophysiology, coral reef ecology, ocean dynamics, evolution etc.)
