Dominique McCowanLouisville, KYAdjunct Professor making my own way, with empathy
I grew up and live land-locked (Kentucky) and study marine paleoecology and evolutionary biology. I love field work and research and have experience studying coral reefs in the Florida keys, Bahamas, Dominica, Hawaii, and on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, where I completed my postgraduate degrees and postdoctoral fellowship. I now work on analyses of databases I created and acquired on global coral reef ecology, taxonomy, life history traits, reproductive strategies, and genetics to build out disturbance guilds for reef susceptibility and resiliency through geomorphological timeframes. All a work in progress!
