In my 30+ years of teaching, over half has been as a middle school science teacher. Middle School science is the foundation of concepts and terms for success in all further courses. I have helped hundreds of middle schoolers enjoy and master science.
I spent 5 years in college taking biology classes for my degree; Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis on Biology. I have also taught Life Science and Biology classes for grades 9-12 for 5 years. I am currently a teacher teaching both subjects (Life Science and Biology) to 9th and 10th graders. I created my own Biology curriculum following the NGSS standards which are universal standards for science classes in the United States
I currently am teaching life science and absolutely love this level of exposure to biology. It is a great introductory course and introduces concepts in a steady pace to build up to Biology. Most students taking this course are in middle school.
