I am an experienced exercise scientist with bachelor's (kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science) and master's (exercise science with a concentration in exercise physiology) degrees in this field. I have several years of PhD-level education in kinesiology and exercise science as well, leading to a PhD in exercise physiology that I expect to complete in early 2025. These have given me expertise in the scientific and technical aspects of biomechanics, cardiovascular function, nutrition, metabolism, and many other subjects relating to exercise and how it affects the body.
Beyond my formal education, I also have experience in the fitness industry. I work privately as a consultant to educate personal trainers, strength coaches, and other health and fitness professionals. I have worked in gyms as a personal trainer and have remained active in the sports nutrition community, maintaining professional and academic contacts throughout the field. My experience and education give me valuable perspectives on exercise as a lifestyle choice, how the fitness industry works, how to avoid misinformation, and what are best practices in managing one's own fitness journey.
Additionally, I have extensive experience with analyzing individual exercises and equipment for those who are interested in learning more about the ins and outs of how a machine works, what strategies someone can employ in the gym to improve their fitness safely, and how to approach popular trends in the realms of fitness, nutrition, supplementation, and more.
