Beloved College Professor Offers Private Tutoring

I am a philosopher-ethnographer from Istanbul, Turkey. My research and teaching fields are colonialism, aesthetic and social-justice action ethnography, epistemology and social construction of categories; Women and Gender Studies, Middle Eastern Studies and Area/Cultural/International Studies. My emphasis is on violence, social displacement, forced migrations, street children in Turkey. For my dissertation I conducted art and writing workshops with Kurdish youth who had to stay on the street and with Romani children who worked on the streets as they lived in squatter settlements. I taught a section of Oakes Core for UCSC's Oakes College that houses students of color, low income students, first generation college students and LGBTQI students. Upon graduation I taught a section of Oakes Core for UCSC's Oakes College that houses students of color, low income students, first generation college students and LGBTQI students. I taught three sections of a course on women and globalization called "Global Women" at San Jose State. I did a 6 unit service learning course called “Creating Healthy Communities” at CSUMB.
