Trinity University Graduate/Incoming M.Arch Graduate Student

As an architectural history minor in college, I took a variety of art history courses covering prehistoric-renaissance periods, and renaissance-modern periods. During these classes, I learned to effectively look at architecture, decipher meaning, understand theory, and translate it into essays or exposes. Additionally, I completed an independent research study with Dr. Kathryn O'Rourke in which I completed freehand drawings for an upcoming book on Modern Architecture in Texas titled: "Home, Heat, Money, God: Texas and Modern Architecture." In addition to taking classes on architectural history at Trinity University, I took architecture studio courses at San Antonio College. Here, I learned freehand drawing, hand drafting, and developed studio design skills. Projects ranged from freehand sketches of campus buildings, drafting architectural plans, sections, and perspectives, and creating proposals for music pavilions, abstract 3-dimensional space, and memorials. I recently completed 8 applications for architecture graduate school (Cornell, Harvard, Yale, MIT, Princeton, Rice, University of Toronto, USC). As part of the application, I created 3 different portfolios of creative work and wrote at least 15 different personal statements. This experience and the critique I received from several mentors gives me confidence that I can help students with this specific application process. Beyond helping students understand the importance of architectural history and drawing in this discipline, I have an intense passion and belief for architecture as a vehicle for change -- socially, emotionally, and psychologically. I would aim to preach the magic of architecture.

As a Computer Engineering undergraduate at the University of Connecticut, my academic journey has been deeply influenced by my passion for game development, particularly my fascination with classic 8-bit game systems like the NES and Gameboy. This interest has seamlessly intertwined with my major, leading me to delve into the intricacies of Instruction Set Architectures (ISAs) and the foundational aspects of computer architecture, with a special focus on MIPS assembly and RISC-V. My love for gaming, especially retro games, sparked a curiosity about how these early game systems were designed and functioned. This curiosity steered me towards understanding MIPS assembly and RISC-V, key elements in learning about the inner workings of CPUs and their interaction with other computer components. Studying these architectures has given me valuable insights into how software and hardware coalesce to create the immersive gaming experiences that first captivated me. In my exploration of MIPS and RISC-V, I have gained a profound appreciation for the elegance and efficiency of these architectures. Learning about MIPS assembly has been particularly enlightening, as it revealed the low-level operations and optimizations that drive computational processes. Similarly, my study of RISC-V, with its open-source and modular nature, has shown me the potential for innovation and customization in processor design. My coursework has not only covered the technicalities of these ISAs but also the role of operating systems, if present, and how they manage hardware resources and provide essential services to software applications. This knowledge has been crucial in understanding the complete picture of how game systems and computers operate, from the microarchitecture level to the system-level interactions. This deep dive into computer architecture, stemming from my love for game development, has been a fulfilling aspect of my academic career. It has allowed me to appreciate the technologica

Russian girl who can teach you art and Russian language

A long time ago, when I was a child, I went to drawing, and then I gave up. Until the age of 15, I perceived art as something useless and was absolutely sure that art was nothing. You can't earn money with it, you can't work with it, you can't get carried away with it, live with it, and so on. However, when I went to college, to the surprise of myself and others, I chose such a specialty as "Graphic Design". For 4 years I studied computer graphics, layout, drawing, painting, anatomy and so on. It turned out that deep down I really like to create art with my hands, in particular: watercolor, simple pencil and pastel. And I still like to create graphic design, so I'm good in both directions. In addition, I have presented my articles at conferences a lot, so I can help you find a topic that excites and excites you, help you write an article and speak with it. As a result, I received a certificate of teaching art history in addition to my diploma. I am very inspired by European and Asian art, and I always enthusiastically tell others. While studying at the university, I sometimes worked as an art tutor for kids 4-10 years old. So I feel comfortable with the kids. My teaching experience is about 2 years. However, I have never taught online, so this will be the first time for me, as well as for you, in choosing the right mentor in art. Now I think I have some knowledge that I can pass on to the next generation, who also want to bring their story and vision through art.
