I would like to share information about my language background and proficiency. My heritage language is American Sign Language (ASL), and I am a native ASL speaker, being fluent in the language. I underwent the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI), where my language skills were assessed, and I received a score of 4 plus out of a possible 5.
Currently, I am teaching ASL at the University of Kansas, specifically ASL 6. With over a decade of experience in the education field, my expertise extends beyond the classroom. Furthermore, I hold a master's degree in Sign Language Education.
