I am a fluent speaker of English and studying linguistics at the University of New Hampshire. My area of study focuses mostly on German and Ukrainian, however, I have experience with comparative lingu... istics looking at similarities and differences between German and English. I learned English at a young age, but it is not my native language, therefore, I have first-hand experience with the struggles involved in learning English and know how to approach difficult topics in an understandable way. I currently live in Durham, New Hampshire, where I am studying linguistics at the University of New Hampshire. Aside from languages, I love reading, writing fiction, and horseback riding. I believe that learning a second language is important for all people as it helps develop important study and communication skills and allows people to understand the world from various cultural perspectives. The best way to learn a new language is through immersion and I think that tutoring can help people get more language immersion, especially when travelling to another country is not possible.
