I have been a teacher in Florida for 12 years; over half of those 12 years I spe... nt teaching Intensive Reading to middle and high school students. As a teacher and a mother, I know first hand the importance of reading. I understand that a child who struggles with reading comprehension will quickly fall behind in all of their courses. It is my goal to assist students in strengthening their reading abilities while also motivating them to push harder. Any student can improve their reading skills, and I am a teacher who is experienced at teaching the strategies to get my students where they need to be. Every year of my career I have been rated as a Highly Effective Educator as based on my classroom observations and student test scores.
