I have always had a passion for biology and medical research. Throughout primary and high school biology has always been my strongest subject, I was even awarded a certificate in high school for being... the second highest performing student in biology. The passion, drive and, hard work allowed me to pursue a degree in Medical Bioscience at the University of the Western Cape. Microbiology focuses on understanding how all these small viruses, bacteria , fungi, and parasites pose a threat to the human body. Micro-organisms are everywhere and on everything , most of them are extremely difficult to manage that is why it is important to understanding their pathogenic mechanisms. To do that I spent 3 years in a medical microbiology lab studying the structure of different micro-organisms. In my final year I created a microbiology study community where we worked together to study and prepare for all tests and exams. Creating the study community helped build our confidence in the subject, as a result my team excelled in their final exam and even managed graduated.read more
