I live in the Philippines. I have been a Public School Junior High School Science Teacher for 3 years. Also, I've been teaching English as a Second Language to foreign students for more than 3 years ... now. I have my TESOL and TEYL Certificates since 2021. Tutoring is a great way to give back all the knowledge and skills that I acquired while also making friends. From forming connections with parents who share stories about their child's progress to hearing students express their appreciation after mastering difficult concepts; these moments are gratifying and make you want to come back for more. I also like to be a positive role model for students. I like to encourage them and help them believe in themselves. I also like to be honest with them when they are struggling and help them find ways to improve. As a tutor, I firmly believe that We model vulnerability and know that it is okay to not always have the answers. As tutors, we don't need to be experts; rather we need to know how to study and grow. We help people learn how to learn, and a large part of that process involves the freedom to try, stumble, and try again. I am passionate about teaching children new things and helping them become more confident in themselves and academically.
