I proudly call New Orleans home though have previously lived near ... all three coasts (don’t sleep on the Gulf). BU accelerated my SOLIDWORKS skills and prepared me for a professional career that exposed me to a wide range of engineering sectors. I had a crash course in the practical industry use of CAD/CAM software in organizational workflows as an application engineer going into hundreds of CNC machine shops. After doing a couple years facility planning and another couple leading the engineering of a wind turbine fabrication shop, I shuttered myself into remote work finding multiple SOLIDWORKS value-added resellers to specialize in being a technical advisor, trainer, and educator content creator. Teaching SOLIDWORKS modules to a vast spectrum of technically-minded individuals felt like a natural progression and was truly rewarding witnessing it click for students.
