Between my two degrees and independent professional experience, I have a plethora of skills to share that will be enriching to anyone looking to learn about music. Earning my Bachelor's Degree in Mus... ic Composition, I developed a holistic understanding of the creative process: transforming an idea to a piece of music, and transforming that piece into an actual performance. Furthermore, I accumulated immense hands-on experience navigating the logistical and practical processes of creating art that often goes under-considered by novice artists. As an Audio Arts graduate student, specializing in sound recording and music production, I extended my understanding of the creative process: transforming performances into recordings. I live-streamed, recorded and edited concerts, sometimes several times a week and had a leadership role in several studio projects: I was the head producer and mixing engineer of my collegiate a cappella group’s third yearbook album, “Up Up and OA”. This was another opportunity to build logistical skills, as I helped line up people’s schedules for studio sessions, oversaw rehearsals, and engineered some promotional materials leading up to the album release.
