Hello! My name is Rima Patel and I recently graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas, I graduated with a BS in Healthcare Studies and a minor in Biology. I currently reside in Houston, Texas a... nd I have a strong passion for tutoring and teaching. I have tutored and graded work at Kumon and Wyzant, and I currently am working at Amplify where I will be tutoring classes of 3-5 students on basic reading comprehension skills. I love working with students to help them to better understand a subject, I find fulfillment in the work as I was a student before too and understand how certain topics can be more challenging than others! My mentors and teachers have inspired me to help others in the same way they have helped me. My tutoring philosophy is to try your best to make it as fun and engaging for the student as you can. Once I started to find learning fun, I started exceling in subjects that I previously struggled with.
