I graduated from Brooklyn College Conservatory in 2022

and uh, currently I'm doing my masters of music education right now at Liberty

University. So, you know, I grew up playing by ear.

I grew up playing in church most, mostly. And then, um,

and I transitioned to the band settings and stuff like that. And, you know,

I learned how to bridge that gap between reading music and playing by ear.

'cause that's what I did for many, many years predominantly.

So I know the struggles when you're coming up and how hard reading music can be.

And I have my whole different approaches on how to approach reading music.

You know, coming from a different BA background,

I didn't really have access to the best teachers at that time.

So I know how to bridge that gap between the struggle and understanding and also

I think playing by ear unlocks a different sort of creativity that sometimes

when you start reading music, at first you can lock yourself into a box,

bridge between learning how to play by ear and reading.
